A Block of the Month (aka BOM) is a quilt program or pattern which contains a variety of blocks that are released in a specific time period, generally 6-12 months. At the end of the time frame, you will have a completed quilt top. It’s a nice way to make a quilt in small, bite-size pieces allowing the quilter the opportunity to learn a variety of patchwork techniques and patterns. This year our BOM will be a 6-month Mystery Quilt pattern, meeting the first Monday of the month unless otherwise noted. You will be notified ahead of time the fabric requirements and each month more of the pattern will be revealed. You will have class time each month to work on the new blocks. While Quilt piecing experience is preferred and highly encouraged, it is not required. Participants need to know how to operate and troubleshoot their own sewing machine.
