Become a Notary Public

Start your own business or add to your current business working as a Notary Public. As a public servant commissioned by the Secretary of State, the Notary Public protects the integrity of legal and personal documents. This one-day course will teach you everything you need to know to pass the state notary exam and be a successful Notary Public. Associated costs, including costs for insurance and supplies will be explained in the class. Must be 18 years old, be a California resident, complete this course, pass a notary exam (45 multiple choice questions) and pass a background check. $45 + tax materials fee will be collected by CA Notary Training Center prior to the class. Per State law, late arrivals will not be permitted in class.

Note: Applicants may take the state notary exam immediately following the course. For the exam, bring a $40 check or money order payable to “Secretary of State”, a legal form of I.D., a 2”x2” color passport photo, and two #2 pencils.
